Happy Moon Day!
Today is the anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing on the Moon. Celebrate it! Have some Tang and Moon Pies. Oh, and check out Google's Moon Explorer. I recall reading something about Easter Eggs if you zoom all the way in, but I haven't looked yet.

Straight from the Sick & Wrong File
Got this from Michaella. It's Ben Folds, Joe Jackson, and William Shatner! I shit you not.

Axis of Kittens
Got this from Wil. I guess I shouldn't be supprised that he's the one to find a web site that mixes Evil and Kittens.

His Cat Hates Him
Got this from Wil. It's about a Yooper guy who was shot by his cat. Don't give me that look, I can't make up stuff like this.

Things My Girlfriend And I Have Argued About
The great thing about the Internet is that you can always find someone worse off than you. It's good for a laugh. Take this guy, for example. It makes my last relationship sound positively normal.

Moon Fountains
I love it when sci-fi writers get things right. Fro example, what happens when moon dust gets electrically charged?

Banksy's Art
Remember the guy who put up his artwork in New York museums? (I posted about it last Tuesday.) Well, here's a gallery of his work.

Sesame Street: Greatest Moments
This site over at Progressive Boink really brings back the memories. It's a good read.

Valenti signs Betamax tape for fan at Grokster hearing
Boing Boing has a terrific write-up on this. The irony, it seems, was completely lost on him.

Quake Speedrun Videos
(From Boing Boing) Ok, these videos are crazy. I can honestly say I've never seen the game played like that before.

Now We're Cooking with Light
Got this from Tony. A Fresnel lens just shy of a square meter can be pretty destructive. But with the right modifications, you can cook with it! This, of course, is not to be confused with the Solar Death Ray.

Prankster infiltrates NY museums
Wil sent me this article over at the BBC about a guy who evaded security to hang some of his work in four New York museums. Granded, security is much more concerned with what leaves the museum than what enters it. But it's still pretty cool.

50 Peeps, 60 Minutes
Got this from Jamie. It's... disturbing on so many levels. Man, I think I'm gong to be sick.

Transparent Screens
Got this from Jamie. The concept is pretty simple, although it sounds like it would be really difficult to set it up just right. What you do is take a picture of what's behind your computer, then use that as your background.
